
Meet the trainer
At the heart of Finn Safety Training is founder and lead trainer, Kristin Finn. An experienced educator and safety trainer, with over 15 years in the education, event and safety training fields, Kristin spent more than 15 years as a lecturer and course designer for Plymouth Business School, University of Plymouth, specialising in event safety and crisis management. Combining her love of teaching and workplace safety, she also became an in-house safety trainer for UoP, delivering IOSH safety training to internal cohorts.

Kristin is a professional member of IOSH and RLSS UK, a licensed workplace and paediatric first aider and trainer, and holds professional qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Crowd Risk Analysis, with a PhD in Crowd Dynamics & Managing Event Safety.
​
As an experienced lecturer and trainer, Kristin has a warm, engaging teaching style and is a firm believer in creating confidence-inspiring, memorable learning experiences. She brings extensive experience of in-person and virtual classroom delivery, with strong knowledge of education-based quality assurance procedures and processes; experience that underpins the quality of training delivered through all of the courses we offer today.​
